Keoni Boyer and Jardsoul

Every few months for quite a few years I have searched for news of my old friend Rob “Keoni” Boyer… someone I got into trouble (and trouble with) a young child and with whom endured a few years of library work as college students. He was one of the few who left for New York City that I really believed could make it and I’ve continued to search for signs.

I finally found him! He’s singing for a new band called Jardsoul that sounds pretty damn good (check out the video for “Shine” in the multimedia saection) and sporting a bold, bald look:

He sounds a bit like Layne Staley+Axl Rose with a little Chris Cornell thrown in. You can get the CD through CDBaby… and you should.

It’s sad when friends leave, as almost all of mine have… but great to see them doing something exciting.
